Sri Krsna Caitanya appears in Kali Yuga to give the Highest Love
Krsna Consciousness is our natural constitutional nature jivera swarupya haya krsnera nitya das ... Caitanya Caritamrta Madhya lila chapter 20 verse 108 So lord Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu is explaining this .Who is Lord Caitanya ? He appeared 530 years ago in india in the West Bengal District of Nadia . He is none other then Sri Krsna himself, Krsna declared to Srila Vyasadev he would appear in this age of kali (Vyasadev is the compiler of the vedas and the author of the Srimad Bhagavatam the amala purana or spotless topmost cream of the vedas which delivers the Summun Bonum process of transcendental loving devotion to God Krsna) . He appears as a sannyasi in the age of kali yuga to deliver the fallen souls absorbed in the fruitless pursuit of money and temporary sense enjoyment .
Upa puranas -
aham eva kvacid brahman
sannyasa asramam asritah
hari bhaktim grahayami
kalau papa-hatan naran
O Brahmana, I occasionally take the Sannyas Asram [sannyasa asrama asritah] in an attempt to bring the fallen people of Kali Yuga to take up the path of Bhakti or devotional service to Lord Krishna [hari bhaktim grahayami].
Garuda purana . Lord Visnu explains-
aham purno bhavisyami
yuga-sandhyau visesatah
mayapure navadvipe
bhavisyami sachi sutah
I will take birth as the son of Sachi [bhavisyami sachi sutah], in Navadvip-Mayapur [mayapure navadvipe]. I will come in my complete spiritual form in the first part of Kali-Yuga.
** In the same Garuda-Purana, it is Also stated:
kaleh prathama sandhyayam
lakshmi- kanto bhavisyati
daru-brahma-samipa-sthah
sannyasi gaura-vigrahah
In the first part of Kali-Yuga, the Supreme Personality of Godhead will come in a gold-like form. First He will become the husband of Lakshmi [Srimati Lakshmi Devi, Lord Chaitanya's first wife]. Then He will become a sannyasi, near Lord Jagannatha who will appear in a divine wooden form.
Lord Caitanya himself inaugarates the Harinam Sankirtan movement of chanting the Holy names of Sri Krsna .
So lord Caitanyas appearance was foretold not only in these scriptures but many others as well . Krsna is so sweet and so attractive when he came and performed his pastimes he captivated the three worlds and till this day he is still doing the same . Lord Caitanya specifically comes to teach the process of Bhakti yoga - Loving devotional service to Sri Krsna .
CC Ādi 3.5 — Lord Kṛṣṇa, the son of the King of Vraja, is the Supreme Lord. He eternally enjoys transcendental pastimes in His eternal abode, Goloka, which includes Vrajadhāma.
CC Ādi 3.6 — Once in a day of Brahmā, He descends to this world to manifest His transcendental pastimes.
CC Ādi 3.7 — We know that there are four ages [yugas], namely Satya, Tretā, Dvāpara and Kali. These four together constitute one divya-yuga.
CC Ādi 3.8 — Seventy-one divya-yugas constitute one manv-antara. There are fourteen manv-antaras in one day of Brahmā.
CC Ādi 3.9 — The present Manu, who is the seventh, is called Vaivasvata [the son of Vivasvān]. Twenty-seven divya-yugas [27 × 4,320,000 solar years] of his age have now passed.
CC Ādi 3.10 — At the end of the Dvāpara-yuga of the twenty-eighth divya-yuga, Lord Kṛṣṇa appears on earth with the full paraphernalia of His eternal Vraja-dhāma.
CC Ādi 3.11 — Servitude [dāsya], friendship [sakhya], parental affection [vātsalya] and conjugal love [śṛṅgāra] are the four transcendental mellows [rasas]. By the devotees who cherish these four mellows, Lord Kṛṣṇa is subdued.
CC Ādi 3.12 — Absorbed in such transcendental love, Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa enjoys in Vraja with His devoted servants, friends, parents and conjugal lovers.
CC Ādi 3.13 — Lord Kṛṣṇa enjoys His transcendental pastimes as long as He wishes, and then He disappears. After disappearing, however, He thinks thus:
CC Ādi 3.14 — “For a long time I have not bestowed unalloyed loving service to Me upon the inhabitants of the world. Without such loving attachment, the existence of the material world is useless.
CC Ādi 3.15 — “Everywhere in the world people worship Me according to scriptural injunctions. But simply by following such regulative principles one cannot attain the loving sentiments of the devotees in Vrajabhūmi.
CC Ādi 3.16 — “Knowing My opulences, the whole world looks upon Me with awe and veneration. But devotion made feeble by such reverence does not attract Me.
CC Ādi 3.17 — “By performing such regulated devotional service in awe and veneration, one may go to Vaikuṇṭha and attain the four kinds of liberation.
CC Ādi 3.18 — “These liberations are sārṣṭi [achieving opulences equal to those of the Lord], sārūpya [having a form the same as the Lord’s], sāmīpya [living as a personal associate of the Lord] and sālokya [living on a Vaikuṇṭha planet]. Devotees never accept sāyujya, however, since that is oneness with Brahman.
CC Ādi 3.19 — “I shall personally inaugurate the religion of the age — nāma-saṅkīrtana, the congregational chanting of the holy name. I shall make the world dance in ecstasy, realizing the four mellows of loving devotional service.
Lord Caitanya came to give this spontaneous love for Sri Krsna so we can remember our original eternal relationship with god and revive our original topmost spiritual nature with krsna .
CC Ādi 3.20 — “I shall accept the role of a devotee, and I shall teach devotional service by practicing it Myself.
CC Ādi 3.21 — “Unless one practices devotional service himself, he cannot teach it to others. This conclusion is indeed confirmed throughout the Gītā and Bhāgavatam.
CC Ādi 3.22 — “ ‘Whenever and wherever there is a decline in religious practice, O descendant of Bharata, and a predominant rise of irreligion — at that time I descend Myself.
CC Ādi 3.23 — “ ‘To deliver the pious and to annihilate the miscreants, as well as to reestablish the principles of religion, I Myself appear, millennium after millennium.’
CC Ādi 3.24 — “ ‘If I did not show the proper principles of religion, all these worlds would fall into ruin. I would be the cause of unwanted population and would spoil all these living beings.’
CC Ādi 3.25 — “ ‘Whatever actions a great man performs, common people follow. And whatever standards he sets by exemplary acts, all the world pursues.’
CC Ādi 3.26 — “My plenary portions can establish the principles of religion for each age. No one but Me, however, can bestow the kind of loving service performed by the residents of Vraja.
CC Ādi 3.27 — “ ‘There may be many all-auspicious incarnations of the Personality of Godhead, but who other than Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa can bestow love of God upon the surrendered souls?’
CC Ādi 3.28 — “Therefore in the company of My devotees I shall appear on earth and perform various colorful pastimes.”
CC Ādi 3.29 — Thinking thus, the Personality of Godhead, Śrī Kṛṣṇa Himself, descended at Nadia early in the Age of Kali.
CC Ādi 3.30 — Thus the lionlike Lord Caitanya has appeared in Navadvīpa. He has the shoulders of a lion, the powers of a lion, and the loud voice of a lion.
Become like lions by calling out loudly the names of Gaura and Nitai the two brothers who were previously Krsna and Balarama in dwarpa yuga are now delivering the world in this kali yuga, with there Harinam Sankirtan movement . Become like a LION.
